Travelling in France with ETIAS: everything you need to know

From the launch of the ETIAS system, non-European visitors will need an ETIAS or Schengen visa to enter France. This document will become essential for all short-term stays.

Stay of less than 90 days: ETIAS is sufficient

Nationals of ETIAS-eligible countries can travel to France without a visa, provided their trip does not exceed 90 days. This authorization will enable you to cross French and European borders legally.

How do I apply for ETIAS in France?

The procedure is simple: just fill in the ETIAS form online in a few minutes. Make sure you have a valid passport to hand. We recommend that you apply at least 8 days before departure, although this may vary depending on your profile.

Stopover in France: is ETIAS enough?

Yes, the ETIAS authorization allows stopovers at French and European airports without the need for a Schengen visa. No paper printout is required: the authorization is linked electronically to the traveler’s passport.

ETIAS prices to come to France

The European Union has set the price of the ETIAS at €20 for its launch. This amount must be paid online by credit card at the time of application. Processing only starts once payment has been confirmed.
