Get an ETIAS for visa-free travel in Europe

Travelers from non-EU countries must obtain an ETIAS travel authorization to enter the Schengen area. This simple online procedure is designed to enhance security while facilitating short-term tourist or business stays.

What is ETIAS?

ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) is an electronic authorization required to enter Europe without a visa. This system will enable the European Union to screen potentially high-risk travelers before they arrive.

It’s not a visa: ETIAS complements existing visa policies, not replaces them.

Who should apply for ETIAS?

ETIAS will be compulsory for citizens of over 60 visa-exempt countries. It applies to stays of less than 90 days for tourism, business or transit purposes.

Even children must have their own ETIAS, via a specific application completed by their parents.

How do I apply for ETIAS?

Application for an ETIAS is made entirely online. All you have to do is visit the official website, then fill in a form containing your personal details, passport data, reason for travel, and a few questions about your health and background.

Payment of the fee (by credit card) completes the procedure and triggers automatic review of your file. In most cases, authorization is issued within a few minutes. However, some profiles may take longer to process, up to 30 days.

How much does ETIAS cost?

The rate is fixed:

Validity and duration of stay

An approved ETIAS allows multiple stays in Europe, each lasting up to 90 days within a 180-day period. In the event of a change of passport or marital status, the ETIAS must be updated.

In which countries is ETIAS valid?

ETIAS provides access to all Schengen member countries, including :

ETIAS by nationality

Dedicated information pages are available for each eligible nationality:

Do I need to print my ETIAS?

No, this is not compulsory. The authorization is electronically linked to the passport. However, we recommend that you check its validity before departure, and keep a printed copy as a precaution.
